Entry-Level Design Technician – Electric Utility Projects

• Design and analyze transmission line systems, including structures, conductors, and foundations
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design standards and safety regulations
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other engineers to ensure successful project execution
• Utilize advanced software tools for modeling and simulation of transmission line performance
• Stay up to date with industry trends, standards, and best practices

• 0-4 years of engineering experience related to transmission line projects
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field
• EIT or ability to obtain
• Experience with transmission line design and analysis software (e.g., PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE)
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience
• Preferred:
  Strong understanding of PLS-CADD

Demonstrates expertise in transmission line design and analysis, utilizing advanced software tools for modeling and simulation. Strong ability to prepare engineering drawings and ensure compliance with safety regulations through site inspections.
