Job Summary

The Payroll Accounting Technician, Outsourced Finance & Accounting is responsible for supporting accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. This role performs payroll activities across the end-to-end pay cycle, and helps ensure payroll data integrity, strong controls, and a positive client experience.

• Collects, compiles, and enters payroll data using appropriate software.
• Updates payroll records by entering changes including deductions, garnishments, and salary increases.
• Processes payroll by established deadlines.
• Interacts with client staff to gain information, documents and data necessary to complete assigned tasks.
• Communicates significant client issues to supervisor.

Education:

• High School Diploma, required.

Experience:

• 1-3 years of payroll experience preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience required.
• Experience working with tip reporting, multi-state payrolls, IRS letter responses, and garnishment calculations preferred.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word required.
