Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to join our growing team in Mobile, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential mortgage lending, excellent customer service skills, and hands-on experience with Encompass loan origination software. This role is responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage process, from initial consultation to loan closing, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate and manage residential mortgage loan applications from start to finish
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, real estate agents, and referral partners
- Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine loan feasibility
- Educate borrowers on loan options and guide them in selecting the best mortgage solutions
- Utilize Encompass to manage loan files, documentation, and pipeline efficiently
- Ensure all loans meet company guidelines and regulatory compliance standards
- Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the loan process
- Meet or exceed monthly production and performance goals

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and sales skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Established referral network in the Mobile, Alabama area
- Experience working with FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA and Jumbo loan products
