Overview

Regions is seeking a Relationship Banker I to provide an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone, contributing to the financial wellness of customers. The role focuses on creating meaningful personal connections, processing transactions, identifying customer needs, and resolving end-to-end inquiries. This position is suitable for candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who are seeking growth and upward mobility.

• Provide a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line while handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller transactions
• Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests (e.g., card replacements, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution)
• Develop relationships with customers and stay informed about their banking needs
• Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions (mobile, online, and ATM offerings)
• Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to aid in customer problem resolution
• Refer customers to internal experts when more complex financial goals are identified
• Adhere to bank processes and procedures, comply with laws and regulations, and manage operational risk as part of the branch team
• Contribute to achieving branch targets by identifying customer needs and offering Regions solutions
• May conduct outbound calls to educate customers on technology and support meeting their financial needs

This position requires tracking of time for hours worked in excess of 40 per week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act. It is eligible for incentive pay.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work Saturdays as needed
• Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions
• Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels
• Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustaining attention to a monitor
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

• One year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience

• Adheres to policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Assists customers with digital banking offerings
• Handles multiple priorities simultaneously
• Oversees large sums of cash
• Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills

The target information below reflects the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for the position location and level.

Job Range Target: Minimum: 35,640.99 USD;
Median: 42,192.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans: This role is eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan. Incentives may be earned based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
