The Universal Banker is a full‑time, on‑site role based in the Mobile Metropolitan Area. This role combines traditional teller and personal banker responsibilities, including processing deposits and withdrawals, handling cash transactions accurately, and assisting with loan applications and inquiries. The Universal Banker will open and maintain accounts, provide information on bank products and services, and resolve customer questions in a professional, timely manner.
Day‑to‑day tasks also include identifying customer needs, referring specialized services when appropriate, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. The individual will work closely with branch team members to support branch goals and contribute to an excellent customer experience.
- Candidates should possess strong customer service and communication skills to build relationships and provide clear, courteous support.
- Candidates should possess deposits and loans knowledge to open accounts, process transactions, and assist with basic lending needs.
- Candidates should possess accurate cash handling skills, including balancing cash drawers and following security and compliance procedures.
- Candidates should possess problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills to identify customer needs and ensure error‑free transactions.
- Prior banking, financial services, or retail customer service experience is beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business or finance is a plus.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and comfort learning new banking systems.
- Ability to work on‑site during standard branch hours and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
