Overview
This is the day-to-day activities of the sworn law enforcement officers assigned to the school system for the Police Department.
CompensationJurisdiction hourly pay: $20.34 - $21.88;
Yearly salary: $42,312 - $45,516.
Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, and a minimum of two years of sworn law enforcement experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
Physical RequirementsAbility to meet established state standards of physical endurance, agility, health, and vision for law enforcement personnel.
Special RequirementsMust possess certification as a sworn law enforcement officer by the State of Alabama Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission.
