Position Overview
This role involves general duty police work, serving legal processes, maintaining order and providing care and security for prisoners at the Mobile County Metro Jail.
Salary Range$50,526 - $80,774* (Amended 10/17/25)
Minimum Qualification Requirements- Graduation from a standard senior high school or successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, as per APOSTC Administrative Code, and preferably some corrections or law enforcement experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
- Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence.
- Must be at least 21 years of age; no maximum age limit.
- May be required to have successfully completed the required minimum standards training necessary for recognition as a sworn law enforcement officer.
