Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Medical Technician (Med Tech) to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. The Med Tech will play an essential role in delivering quality healthcare services in a mobile nursing and rehabilitation setting. This position involves ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients, assisting nursing staff, and supporting rehabilitation efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Conduct wellness checks and assist patients with daily living activities.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and observations.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding medication management and rehabilitation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and infection control procedures.
  • Assist nursing staff during clinical assessments and rehabilitation sessions.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment, including the proper storage and handling of medical supplies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Med Tech or comparable training is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in mobile nursing or rehabilitation, is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and assist patients as necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to manage travel to patient locations.
