Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled and compassionate Medical Technician (Med Tech) to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. The Med Tech will play an essential role in delivering quality healthcare services in a mobile nursing and rehabilitation setting. This position involves ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients, assisting nursing staff, and supporting rehabilitation efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Conduct wellness checks and assist patients with daily living activities.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and observations.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding medication management and rehabilitation processes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and infection control procedures.
- Assist nursing staff during clinical assessments and rehabilitation sessions.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, including the proper storage and handling of medical supplies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Med Tech or comparable training is preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in mobile nursing or rehabilitation, is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as necessary.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to manage travel to patient locations.
