Role Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Mobile, AL. This position supports physical therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to patients with orthopaedic conditions and injuries. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, monitoring progress, and documenting patient responses and outcomes. The Physical Therapist Assistant collaborates closely with physicians, therapists, and other clinical staff to ensure coordinated care and an excellent patient experience.

The role also involves educating patients on home exercise programs, safe movement techniques, and strategies to support recovery and long-term wellness.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation to support treatment plans and patient recovery.
  • Strong Patient Care and Quality Patient Care skills to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective clinical services.
  • Knowledge of Orthopedics, including common musculoskeletal conditions and post-surgical rehabilitation needs.
  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program and current state licensure (or eligibility) in Alabama.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse patients and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to follow clinical protocols, maintain accurate documentation, and manage time in a fast-paced setting.
  • Prior experience in an orthopaedic or outpatient rehabilitation environment is preferred.
