Boone Memorial Health is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team.

• Collect routine, timed, and STAT blood specimens accurately and efficiently.
• Properly identify patients prior to specimen collection following established protocols.
• Provide safe, compassionate, age-appropriate care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Transport specimens to the laboratory in accordance with infection prevention and control policies.
• Collect chain-of-custody specimens when required.
• Answer incoming telephone calls, assess requests, and respond appropriately.
• Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support quality patient care by ensuring specimens are collected, handled, and prepared accurately for laboratory analysis.

• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related computer software.

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Frequent use of hands and fine motor skills to perform blood collections.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Essential job functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Certification from an accredited Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
