Job Overview
Lab Corp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at USA Health Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 5:00am –1:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays.
Job Responsibilities- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
- Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
- Provide superior customer service to all patients.
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
- Travel to additional sites when needed.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
- Three months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
- One year or more of phlebotomy experience.
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency if in lieu of work experience.
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work overtime.
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
- Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k).
