Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, organize, and implement engaging activity programs tailored to residents' needs.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to therapeutic recreation and activities.
  • Coordinate activities that promote social interaction, cognitive engagement, and physical well-being.
  • Work closely with residents, families, and staff to assess individual needs and interests.
  • Supervise and train activity staff and volunteers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Must have Recreational Therapy License
  • Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Activities Professional preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a social or recreational program, with at least one year in a therapeutic setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with residents with diverse backgrounds and cognitive abilities.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to resident activities in a healthcare setting.
