Position: Residential Supervisor
- Qualified Developmental Disability Professional FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt (Full-time)
Pay Rate: Starting at $20.00 an hour Function: The Residential Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that people receive support services based upon their personal preference and needs as determined by their interdisciplinary teams. This position is responsible for the overall management and operation of Volunteers of America Southeast's Residential Support Services.
- The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in one of the fields eligible for certification as a QDDP,
- A minimum of two (2) years of successful experience in a transferable field.
- A minimum of one (1) year of prior experience in a supervisory role.
Lead the development, review, and ongoing coordination of person-centered service strategies designed to support individual goals, behavioral needs, and overall quality of life.
Serve as the primary point of coordination among individuals served, family members, community partners, case management teams, healthcare providers, and organizational staff to ensure effective communication and continuity of services.
Support workforce planning efforts by participating in talent acquisition activities, including candidate outreach, interviews, and onboarding recommendations.
Oversee staff readiness by identifying training needs, coordinating required certifications, and ensuring team members maintain competencies necessary to deliver high-quality services.
Facilitate collaborative planning meetings and maintain active engagement with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate progress, address concerns, and identify opportunities for enhanced support.
Prepare, maintain, and review comprehensive service records, assessments, progress summaries, support documentation, and regulatory reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with program standards.
Conduct routine quality assurance activities to evaluate service delivery, measure outcomes, and verify that individual support strategies are implemented effectively and consistently.
Coordinate health and wellness oversight activities by monitoring preventive care schedules, medical referrals, treatment recommendations, and follow-up services to promote positive health outcomes.
Identify barriers to service delivery and implement corrective actions, resource coordination, and problem-solving strategies to ensure individuals receive timely and appropriate supports.
Monitor compliance with organizational policies, funding source requirements, and applicable regulatory standards while promoting person-centered practices and continuous service improvement.
Maintain professional relationships with community agencies, healthcare providers, and advocacy organizations to expand resources and enhance support opportunities for individuals served.
A valid Alabama driver's license and vehicle insurance acceptance is required. It also requires counseling skills, personnel and staff development skills, time-management skills, demonstrated leadership, and excellent verbal and written communications.
