DescriptionWelcome! Play an important role in supporting the care of telemetry patients through direct patient care, monitoring, and communication with the nursing team. This position provides valuable experience in an acute-care setting while working collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.
Education Requirements:
- Validation of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Certification Requirements (Must be certified in Alabama):
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Applicant must be a Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant, Paramedic, EMT, or currently enrolled in a nursing program. If enrolled in a nursing program, completion of Fundamentals of Nursing is a requirement, and documentation is required.
Responsibilities:
- Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of Nurse Managers, RN’s and LPN’s.
- Provides for personal care, comfort, and assures patient safety.
- Must be dependable, hardworking, and a team player with a good attitude and professional behavior.
- Applicants will be responsible for vital signs, assisting nursing personnel, and helping patients with basic daily needs.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate and carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.
- Other duties as assigned.
