Position Summary

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The primary responsibility of the Guest Services Ambassador is to greet incoming guests, provide excellent customer service, and create a safe and friendly environment for them.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
  • Greet guests, visitors, and others with business at the hotel.
  • Answer guests' questions about hotel amenities, local restaurants, and entertainment options.
  • Monitor activities at entrances and lobbies.
  • Coordinate delivery of amenities to guest rooms.
  • Provide luggage assistance, including assisting guests with other items to bring to their rooms.
  • Communicate the vision of The Admiral Hotel, including Le Moyne Chophouse and The Living Room.
  • Contribute to a positive, empowering work environment by consistently performing assigned day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Meet the demands of a fast-paced environment by using good judgment to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
  • Complete all duties in accordance with property standards and adhere to all company policies and legal requirements regarding the safety, health, and welfare of guests, employees, and the property.
  • Help cross-departmentally and with other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
Experience
  • A combination of the following experiences would be ideal for this position: entry-level sales experience, guest services experience, and experience in boutique hotels.
Skills
  • Ability and passion to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be able to remain calm and problem-solve under pressure.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to take initiative and exhibit flexibility.

  • Strong working knowledge of the Downtown Mobile area, restaurants, and entertainment options.

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit.
  • Frequently required to use hands to handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.

  • It requires manual dexterity to operate standard computer equipment.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds; push and pull equipment, supplies, etc.
  • Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure.
Work Environment

The work environment includes high guest contact and may involve varying conditions and circumstances with guests, staff, visitors, government agencies, etc.
