Job Overview

Room attendants engineer the in-room guest experience.

• Clean and maintain guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness.
• Report maintenance deficiencies and handle guest requests or complaints.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
• Communicate with the Executive Housekeeper regarding tools and supplies needed.
• Follow directions thoroughly and work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
• Live and demonstrate the Maya Hotels core values.
• Work with minimal supervision and effectively communicate with guests, management and co-workers.
• Understand guests' service needs and maintain confidentiality of guest information.
• Clean guestrooms per brand standards and maintain housekeeping carts with needed items.
• Respond to guest complaints, ensuring corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
• Acknowledge each guest.
• Promote a safe working environment and adhere to all fire and emergency procedures, including handling of the fire panel and evacuations.
• Practice safe working habits, including proper bending, lifting, reporting hazards, appropriate use of cleaning chemicals, and minimizing tripping/falling hazards.
• Prioritize and organize tasks.
• Remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment.
• Participate in helping the hotel recycle.
• Maintain uniform and personal appearance in accordance with IHG Hotels Grooming Policy; smile is considered part of the uniform.
• Comply with IHG policies, procedures and Code of Ethics.
• Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Perform any other job‑related duties assigned by supervisor.

Hotel, guest rooms, guest and service corridors, housekeeping office, and admin offices. The job involves lifting 25‑50 lbs on a regular basis under variable temperature and noise conditions.

Full‑time, Part‑time

From $13.00 per hour
