Job Overview
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Veteran Outreach Manager to build and manage sustainable talent pipelines for transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses. The role operates from Mobile, Alabama or Kinston, NC and serves as the primary contact for military transition programs such as DoD Skill Bridge, military job fairs, and veteran outreach events.
Responsibilities- Partner with the Director of WFD to design and lead the implementation of military and veteran talent strategies aligned with business objectives and workforce planning.
- Oversee the lifecycle of military and veteran programmes (Skill Bridge, mentorship, internships) from concept to performance review.
- Identify and develop Military Outreach initiatives in new regions, establishing new base partnerships and talent pipeline strategies.
- Coordinate efforts with HR, Talent Acquisition, Employee Resource Groups, and Business Leadership to ensure alignment with growth and expansion goals.
- Develop and expand military talent and transition programmes across U.S. sites, building career pathways for technical, skilled trades, and leadership roles.
- Build relationships with key military and veteran channels, including transition offices, VSOs, base education centers, and credentialing programs.
- Lead a network of local and regional associates who provide coordination and support for military recruitment and veteran‑affiliated programmes.
- Promote career pathways at base events, family support groups, and other community outreach efforts.
- Represent Airbus at military job fairs, transition summits, and career expos across the U.S. region.
- Coordinate logistics and staffing for recruiting events targeting military talent.
- Analyze hiring data, veteran retention trends, and program outcomes to identify skills gaps and inform program development.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense guidelines and veteran employment laws for all programmes, especially DoD Skill Bridge.
- Develop internal processes for onboarding Skill Bridge candidates and tracking their progress.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 10+ years of experience in military engagement, veteran affairs, or related field.
- Experience in aerospace preferred.
- Preferred certifications: PHR, SPHR, or SHRM.
- Travel required:
25% domestic. - Authorized to work in the U.S. (citizenship).

Occasional short‑notice travel, with ability to travel independently. - Walking:
Walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces.
