Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Veteran Outreach Manager to join our Talent Acquisition team.

This position is open to the following locations:
Mobile, Alabama or Kinston, NC.

The Veteran Outreach Manager will manage and execute initiatives to source, recruit, and support transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses, with the primary objective of creating and managing sustainable talent pipelines. This role will serve as a key point of contact for military transition programs, including DoD Skill Bridge, and will coordinate efforts at military job fairs and career events.

The Manager will be the designated company representative for select military base offices which support the transition of military members to civilian employment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of military culture and transition processes and a proven ability to build partnerships with military installations and veteran organizations.

On ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Military WFD Strategy Leadership
  • Work with the Director of WFD to design and lead the implementation of military and veteran talent strategies to enable regional growth, grow service member and veteran talent pipelines, and drive alignment with business objectives and long-term workforce planning needs.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of military and veteran-focused programs (including Skill Bridge, mentorship, and veteran internship programs) from concept development to execution and performance review.
  • Lead the identification and development of Military Outreach initiatives in new regions and sites, including the establishment of new military base partnerships and talent pipeline strategies.
  • Work closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, Employee Resource Groups, and Business Leadership teams to ensure military talent programs align with overall business goals, growth projections, and regional expansion efforts.
Strategic Partnership Development
  • Develop and expand military talent and transition programs (e.g., DoD Skill Bridge) and partnerships across U.S. sites, focusing on building robust career pathways for service members that support critical roles, including technical, skilled trades, and leadership positions.
  • Partner with the HR and Business leaders across North America to advise on best practices for military and veteran talent acquisition and retention, ensuring programs align with regional needs.
