SHR Talent is partnering with a client in Mobile, AL in its search for a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead and develop talent acquisition strategies across a growing organization within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries. This role will oversee full-cycle recruiting, workforce planning, candidate sourcing, employer branding, recruiting processes, and talent strategy while partnering closely with executive leadership and hiring managers.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of recruiting for architecture, engineering, construction, infrastructure, professional services, or related AEC environments, with the ability to attract highly skilled technical, operational, corporate, and leadership talent. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic and hands-on Talent Acquisition professional who can build scalable recruiting processes, strengthen the candidate experience, develop talent pipelines, and support organizational growth.
- Lead the organization's overall talent acquisition strategy, recruiting operations, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding coordination.
- Develop and maintain strong talent pipelines for Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) positions, including architects, engineers, project managers, construction managers, estimators, superintendents, skilled professionals, and corporate support roles.
- Partner with executive leadership and hiring managers to understand workforce needs, define hiring strategies, and establish recruiting priorities.
- Develop proactive sourcing strategies using Linked In Recruiter, job boards, professional associations, networking, referrals, and industry-specific recruiting channels.
- Build relationships with passive candidates and develop long-term talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill positions.
- Create and implement recruiting strategies designed to attract top talent within the AEC, construction, engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and professional services industries.
- Establish recruiting metrics and KPIs, including time-to-fill, time-to-submit, source effectiveness, candidate quality, offer acceptance rate, and hiring manager satisfaction.
- Develop and strengthen the company's employer brand and candidate experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting workflows, applicant tracking systems, interview processes, and overall talent acquisition efficiency.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to develop compelling job descriptions and ensure positions are effectively marketed to qualified candidates.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, recruiting best practices, and company policies throughout the hiring process.
- Manage relationships with external recruiting firms, staffing agencies, universities, professional organizations, and other talent partners as needed.
- Develop talent acquisition programs that support employee retention, succession planning, workforce growth, and long-term organizational development.
- Stay current on labor market trends, compensation expectations, recruiting technology, and talent availability within the AEC and construction markets.
- Coach and develop recruiting team members while establishing consistent recruiting standards, processes, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive talent acquisition or recruiting experience, with demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruitment.
- Strong experience recruiting within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries is highly preferred.
- Proven experience recruiting for engineering, architecture, construction, infrastructure, project management, professional services, or other technical roles.
- Experience developing and executing strategic talent acquisition programs in a growing organization.
- Demonstrated ability to source and attract both active and passive candidates for difficult-to-fill positions.
- Experience partnering with executives, department leaders, and hiring managers on workforce planning and recruiting strategy.
- Strong knowledge of ATS and recruiting technology, Linked In Recruiter, job boards, sourcing tools, and candidate relationship management.
- Experience tracking and analyzing talent acquisition metrics and recruiting KPIs.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, recruiting compliance, interview best practices, and candidate evaluation.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to balance strategic talent acquisition leadership with hands-on recruiting execution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and recruiting initiatives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
