An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Job Description SummaryThe University of South Alabama's Covey College of Allied Health Professions is seeking to hire a Management Systems Specialist I. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential FunctionsThese are the job duties required of the position.
- Participates in system design, development, education, implementation, maintenance, and problem-solving to support the technology needs for the classrooms, research labs, clinics, and faculty/staff offices in the Covey College of Allied Health Professions.
- Installs, configures, and updates computer systems and software for faculty and staff, as well as in instructional, research laboratories, and clinic spaces.
- Sets up and maintains AV equipment for presentations and classroom use including: projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, and cameras.
- Acts as primary point of contact for faculty and staff to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems related to hardware (computers, printers, AV equipment, Ethernet, LAN, wireless, etc.), software (software applications, server access, etc.).
- Maintains a comprehensive inventory of technology (e.g., computers, printers, projectors, software, etc.) in the College of Allied Health that includes computer's manufacturer, model number, serial number, specifications (CPU, Clock speed, RAM, disk drive, operating system, etc.), and version software installed.
- Assists with the procurement of IT equipment, software, and services to include research, evaluation, and recommendation of purchases for new technology projects/upgrades.
- Creates and provides training for hardware and software usage (Windows/macOS, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, email, department-related software, etc.).
- Designs and develops software applications such as customized spreadsheets and databases including advanced macro or complex formula applications.
- Develops statistical applications and departmental reports as required.
- Creates content and maintains the College of Allied Health web pages using HTML, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Creates content and updates signage in the lobby of the Health Sciences building.
- Serves as administrator of the security camera system for the college.
- Coordinates with the Computer Services Center regarding common issues to include USADlR/Active Directory (account, password, and domain issues), USANAS (file, folders, and permissions), e-mail support (password, setup, and troubleshooting), networking support (cable drops, port activation, and general troubleshooting), wireless support, software license support, and telephone support.
- Coordinates with Audio Visual Technology Department and outside contractors on the configuration, acquisition, and installation of computer/AV systems within the college.
- Remains on 24-hour call for problem determination and corrective action.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
- Related duties as required.
