Somnia has recently reached a significant milestone, surpassing 1 billion transactions on its testnet. In the last month alone, the network handled 250 million transactions, with a peak of 80 million transactions in a single day.

These numbers demonstrate the scalability and robustness of the infrastructure, supported by a leading ecosystem of validators such as BCW Group, Luganodes, B-Harvest, and Kiln.

The network of Somnia is designed to meet the needs of the most ambitious game developers, offering over 1 million TPS (transactions per second), sub-second finality, fees lower than a cent, and a decentralized architecture capable of handling massive volumes of simultaneous activity. Currently, over 60 active projects have been integrated into Somnia’s testnet, including titles like Sparkball, Variance, Masks of the Void, and Maelstrom.

• Google Cloud as Network Validator:
  Google Cloud will operate as a validator on the Somnia network, providing its enterprise-level technical infrastructure to enhance the security, reliability, and decentralization of the network.
• Integrated Cloud Platform:
  Developers will have direct access to the cloud platform, data, and AI tools of Google Cloud, including real-time blockchain data streaming services via Pub/Sub and Somnia datasets indexed on Big Query for advanced analysis.
• Security Enhanced by Mandiant:
  The partnership integrates the security capabilities of Google Cloud, led by Mandiant, to offer proactive threat intelligence, expertise in protecting Web2 and Web3 infrastructures, and tailored solutions for critical events such as mainnet launches, token generation, smart contract deployment, and incident management. Particular attention is given to the security of private keys and signing processes, as well as the mitigation of risks from sophisticated actors.
• Enhanced Agentic Ecosystems:
  Somnia will integrate Google’s AI agent ecosystem, including ADK, A2A, and MCP, to enable intelligent and interoperable agents within games and on-chain applications. This paves the way for advanced use cases such as dynamic NPCs, AI-driven market participants, and reactive gaming features that leverage Somnia’s speed and reduced costs.
