Position: Field Engineer 3
Position Overview:

We are seeking a Field Engineer to provide onsite technical support, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for hardware and software systems. The successful candidate will work directly with end users and technical teams to ensure systems operate efficiently and service requests are resolved in a timely manner.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience in desktop support, hardware deployment, technical troubleshooting, field services, or IT support environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide onsite field engineering and technical support services for assigned customer locations.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades as required.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues using established tools, processes, and documentation.
  • Support hardware deployments, software installations, and system configurations.
  • Document service activities, resolutions, and technical findings accurately.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure efficient issue resolution and service delivery.
  • Identify recurring technical issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism during onsite engagements.
  • Assist with technical documentation, reporting, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Support team members by providing technical guidance when needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in technical support, field services, desktop support, or a related IT environment.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with ticket management systems and service desk platforms.
  • Experience supporting Windows-based environments.
  • Knowledge of mobile device deployment and configuration, including iOS and Android devices.
  • Experience with software deployment, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with hardware installation, deployment, repair, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT support processes and best practices.
Preferred Certifications:

Candidates with one or more of the following certifications are encouraged to apply:

  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Apple Certifications
  • Dell Certifications
  • Other relevant technical certifications
Work Environment:
  • Fully onsite position located in Mobile, Alabama.
  • May require occasional travel between local work sites.
  • Standard business-hour schedule with the possibility of additional hours based on business needs.
