IT Infrastructure Business Analyst

Talascend is currently seeking a IT Infrastructure Business Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Mobile, Alabama
.

A client in Mobile, AL needs an Infrastructure Business Analyst specializing in network and connectivity topics to support analysis, design, and implementation of IT solutions within an industrial environment. The role involves working closely with operations and IT teams to ensure scalable, secure, and robust infrastructure solutions aligned with business objectives.

• Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and IT teams for infrastructure and networking topics
• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements related to connectivity and network systems
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
• Contribute to the design and evolution of network and infrastructure solutions (LAN/WAN, industrial connectivity, security)
• Support industrial projects involving IT/OT integration (e.g., plant connectivity, production systems)
• Participate in agile ceremonies (daily meetings, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives)
• Collaborate with network engineers, system engineers, and external vendors
• Identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities related to infrastructure
• Support testing, validation, and deployment phases
• Maintain documentation such as process flows, architecture diagrams, and data flow mappings
• Ensure alignment with IT standards, cybersecurity, and operational constraints

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in infrastructure or network-related projects
• Strong knowledge of networking and connectivity (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, routing, switching)
• Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of IT/OT environments and constraints
• Experience working in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Ability to work with technical teams and translate complex topics into business language
• Knowledge of network in industrial contexts
• Understanding of IT service management (ITIL)
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
