IT Project Management Specialist

Talascend is currently seeking an IT Project Management Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Mobile, Alabama
.

Support and drive governance, coordination, and execution of IT/OT projects in an industrial environment. Partner with project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational standards.

• Support the governance and structure of IT/OT projects across multiple work streams.
• Define and maintain PMO standards, processes, and documentation.
• Track and report on project progress, timelines, risks, and KPIs.
• Coordinate between IT, OT, and business teams to ensure alignment.
• Facilitate project planning, status meetings, and steering committees.
• Manage project documentation, including schedules, RAID logs, and reporting dashboards.
• Identify and escalates risks, issues, and resource constraints.
• Ensure compliance with corporate project management methodologies and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement of PMO processes and tools.

• 3+ years of experience in a PMO or Project Coordination role within IT projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
• Proven experience in project tracking, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, Jira, or similar).
• Exposure to IT/OT environments (industrial systems, manufacturing, MES, etc.).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts or infrastructure (LAN/WAN, connectivity).
• Familiarity with industrial systems integration or automation.
• Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments.
