Job SummaryThe Business Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to provide valuable insights and support strategic decision-making within the organization. They will work with large datasets, employ statistical methods, and utilize data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively. They will analyze and interpret business data including sales, e-commerce, procurement and operations information to increase sales/profitability. The role requires a keen analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities- Gather and collect data from various sources within the wholesale distribution system.
- Use APIs to extract, transform, and load data from external sources.
- Apply API integration tools and platforms to streamline data retrieval and updates.
- Clean, preprocess, and organize data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform statistical analysis on sales, e-commerce, inventory, and operational data to identify trends and patterns.
- Generate reports and dashboards to communicate key insights to stakeholders.
- Utilize data visualization tools to present findings in a clear and understandable manner.
- Create and maintain product data exports as needed for website and other uses.
- Review and develop models to forecast sales, demand, and inventory levels throughout Turner Supply Company.
- Support implementing predictive analytics to optimize inventory management and procurement processes.
- Report and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that evaluate business performance.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
- Work closely with management to understand business objectives and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Contribute to strategic planning by offering insights based on data analysis.
- Implement measures to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Conduct regular audits of data sources and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and finance, to gather relevant data and insights.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to convey findings and recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Business Analytics) preferred.
- 3+ years relevant data analysis experience.
- 3+ years relevant experience using ERP applications and data.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team.
- Ability to learn and apply various software tools/systems used at Turner Supply Company, such as AD Enter Works PIM, Optimizely B2B Web Platform, INFOR SX.e/CSD, Google Merchant, Amazon Seller Central, Acenda Marketplace Manager, epaCUBE.
- Self-starter with motivation to work with minimal direction and supervision.
- Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing and speaking).
- Prior experience with Distributor and/or Manufacturing organizations.
- Experience with advanced statistical analysis and machine learning.
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics.
- Familiarity with e-commerce applications & ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as Infor SX.e, Infor Cloud Suite Distribution, Optimizely, Acenda, AD Enter Works.
- Experience with SOAP & RESTful APIs and their application in extracting relevant business data.

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position does not have direct report responsibility.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment as well as warehouse and outside sales. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The job has a low amount of physical demands – sitting at a desk, filing, and using office equipment. This job could require being able to lift 20 lbs.
TravelThis position requires less than 10% travel.
