Exert Infotech LLC is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to support secure mission-critical environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on cybersecurity experience, strong technical knowledge, and an active security clearance. This role requires professionals who can protect sensitive systems, identify security risks, implement security controls, and support cybersecurity operations within classified and regulated environments.

• Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions for enterprise and government environments
• Monitor security systems and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents
• Perform vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and security reviews
• Support Security Operations Center (SOC) activities and incident response
• Configure and manage security tools including SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners
• Assist with Risk Management Framework (RMF), A&A, and compliance activities
• Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures
• Perform security auditing and continuous monitoring activities
• Support secure network, cloud, and infrastructure operations
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement security best practices
• Ensure compliance with DoD, federal, and industry cybersecurity standards

• Active Security Clearance (TS/SCI, Secret, or program-specific clearance)
• U.S. Citizenship required for clearance-based roles
• Experience in cybersecurity operations, engineering, or information assurance
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (NIST, RMF, CIS Controls, etc.)
• Experience with vulnerability management and remediation
• Understanding of networking, operating systems, and security technologies
• Experience with security tools and monitoring platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• CISSP

• Experience supporting DoD, federal, intelligence, or defense programs
• Cloud security experience (AWS, Azure, or similar platforms)
• Knowledge of zero trust security architecture
• Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Power Shell)
