Responsibilities
- Promptly and courteously service residential property claims
- Contact insureds and agencies and follow through on claims
- Communicate with policyholders, public adjusters, attorneys, vendors, and experts to foster timely claim resolution
- Identify, analyze, and resolve coverage issues
- Investigate the facts and cause of loss
- Determine coverage based on policies and endorsements
- Maintain accurate progressive claim-handling file documentation
- Prepare coverage and payment letters to settle and conclude claims
- Conduct on-site inspections of insured properties
- Travel regularly within the assigned territory
- Must maintain a Florida All-Lines adjuster (620) license
- 3+ years of homeowner’s claims field adjusting experience handling all perils
- Proficient with Xactimate and sketching, including mobile applications (iPad etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of property insurance policy and coverage analysis
- Must be able to work under deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong skills and experience with Xactimate estimating program
- Must be located within a commutable distance to Tampa, Florida
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
Demonstrates expertise in handling residential property claims with a focus on effective communication, customer service, and thorough coverage analysis. Proficient in utilizing Xactimate for estimating and documentation while maintaining compliance with Florida insurance regulations.
