Role Summary
Blue Origin is looking for an experienced supply chain program manager to own supply chain performance within a program, working across integrated supply chain, test operations, safety, quality, and mission assurance. The role is single‑threaded with the Program Management Office and leads a small team of supply chain program managers.

Responsibilities- Develop and execute supply chain strategies, processes, and material program plans to ensure performance, budget, and on‑time delivery.
- Act as the primary interface with the Program Management Office to define program goals, manage risk, schedules, and support escalations.
- Lead a small team of supply chain program managers and own the full program scope, including all scope of work their team manages.
- Understand product structure, key objectives, budgets, and schedules of supported programs.
- Ensure supply chain functions execute plans to achieve targets, track progress, and develop mitigations where performance is below expectations.
- Support policies, procedures, templates, and tools for consistency, accuracy, and compliance across Blue Origin business units.
- Manage financial aspects (EVMS, budgets, working capital, material sales, etc.) and supply chain metrics.
- Ensure placement, receipt, and ownership of all material requirements, supporting make/buy strategies and strategic sourcing.
- Analyze data to identify deviations from performance expectations and develop improvement plans.
- Provide detailed communications, reports, and presentations to program and supply chain leadership at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree with 7years of experience or Master’s degree with 5years of experience in program management / supply chain program management focused on test operations.
- Experience in test systems engineering or related technical fields, engineering supply chain management, or similar industry experience.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and ability to present complex ideas simply.
- Demonstrated ability to manage trade‑offs, evaluate new ideas, and deliver on‑time products/services.
- Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use hard data and metrics to support recommendations.
- Experience creating and maintaining systems and processes to streamline operations.
- Negotiation skills developed through contracts, proposal management, supplier management, or capture management.
- Ability to develop and execute project plans within budget and schedule constraints, and simultaneously manage multiple programs and priorities.
- Track record of working in an ambiguous environment and defining scalable processes.
- Occasional travel required.
- Strong ability to review Bill of Materials, identify long‑lead and high‑risk items, and craft supply chain strategies to meet program objectives.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience with spacecraft systems.
- Experience in procurement and planning, MRP/ERP planning and transactions, BOM structures, and material estimating and Basis of Estimate creation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management and program management.
- Successfully negotiated contracts and managed teams.
