Logistics Analyst - Provisioning II

Austal USA is a developer and manufacturer of naval vessels, currently hiring for a Provisioning Specialist role focused on logistics support for Navy and Coast Guard programs.

Reports directly to the ILS Team Lead and indirectly to the ILS Manager. No supervisory responsibilities.

• Responsible for all provisioning activities under Logistics Support Information.
• Develop standard and non‑standard provisioning packages for government submittal.
• Interface with OEMs/suppliers to acquire vendor‑furnished information as needed.
• Ensure standardization is applied whenever possible.
• Collaborate directly with Design Engineering to select standard components.
• Validate accurate parts information in technical manuals.
• Track and communicate all change‑order activity that impacts provisioning.
• Assist the ILS team as needed by cross‑training into other ILS areas.

• Minimum 3+ years of provisioning experience (Navy/MSC contracts preferred).
• Background in reading OEM drawings and parts lists.
• Analytical skills to assess detailed drawings, parts lists, and technical manuals for repairable/replaceable equipment at the system level.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience interacting with supply chain, engineering, design teams, customer representatives, and equipment manufacturers.
• High‑school diploma or equivalent required; related degrees an advantage.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with ICAPS and/or MERLIN software preferred.
• Prior U.S. Navy, MSC, or USCG experience desirable.
