Position Purpose and Objectives

The Bilingual Processing Team Lead is a key member of our leadership team, responsible for driving daily backroom operations and ensuring team members meet production and quality expectations. This hands-on role supports the Assistant Manager by training, coaching, and guiding the processing team to success while fostering a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Because this position works closely with a diverse team, fluency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate instructions, provide coaching, conduct training, and support day-to-day operations. This is an excellent opportunity to build supervisory skills while making a direct impact on operational performance.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily processing activities such as sorting, grading, pricing, tagging, hanging, and racking merchandise.
  • Support planning and distribution of daily production goals across all processing areas.
  • Ensure team performance aligns with productivity goals and Critical to Quality (CTQ) standards.
  • Perform regular quality control checks to confirm accurate pricing, proper tag rotation, and merchandise condition.
  • Train, coach, and onboard new team members, providing instruction in both English and Spanish as needed.
  • Communicate daily expectations, operational updates, and safety procedures to English- and Spanish-speaking team members.
  • Rotate staff through various stations to promote cross-training and minimize repetitive strain injuries.
  • Monitor workflow and help move merchandise to avoid processing delays.
  • Assist with seasonal changes, special projects, and promotional displays.
  • Set the tone for the team by leading with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to our Mission and Core Values.
  • Maintain regular communication with store leadership on progress, concerns, and team needs.
  • Ensure the backroom and workstations remain clean, safe, and well-organized.
  • Promote and uphold OSHA safety standards and internal loss prevention practices.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the backroom in the absence of a supervisor or manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Processing Supervisor or Assistant Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
  • Previous leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience in a warehouse, retail, production, or processing environment is preferred.
  • Reliable and consistent attendance.
  • Strong verbal communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
  • Ability to lift and move bags of merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Willingness to learn—comprehensive on-the-job training is provided.

  • Mostly regular and weekend hours, occasionally working evenings and holidays as business needs require.
  • Work environment includes both indoor areas with semi-controlled temperatures and outdoor conditions with varying weather and temperatures.
