Job Description

Summary:

The University of South Alabama’s Environmental Services department is seeking to hire an Environmental Services Aide II. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.

  • Maintains soft tile, carpet, terrazzo, marble and ceramic flooring by sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors.
  • Performs general cleaning duties to include: waxing and polishing furniture, dusting furniture, disposing of waste paper, washing windows and replacing supplies.
  • Performs special cleaning projects utilizing all cleaning techniques and equipment such as floor machines, wet/dry vacuums, and carpet shampoo machines.
  • Maintains, upkeeps and repairs all equipment used for cleaning.
  • Transports furniture and furnishings to different locations as needed.
  • Abides by and enforces all compliance requirements and policies, while maintaining confidentiality.
  • May be required to operate a motor vehicle to travel to and from work sites or transport materials.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
  • Related duties as required.
