Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer

Enforce all compliance requirements and policies ethically, consistent with organizational values; adhere to hospital policies including confidentiality; assist with new employee orientation; supervise technical staff as assigned; install, maintain, operate, and repair electrical motors, generators, and related equipment using hand and power tools; install and repair lighting, circuitry, alarm systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, medical gas systems, and components; perform chemical treatment tests for boilers and cooling water;
undertake construction, repair, and alterations to building components, roofing, flooring, walls, and woodwork; operate power tools and equipment; use proper body mechanics and assistive devices to move equipment; climb ladders and navigate confined spaces; communicate effectively with staff, physicians, patients, and families; respond to overhead pages and radio communication; maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs; complete requisitions, logs, and documentation;
adhere to infection control and safety standards; perform electrical and HVAC repairs; key locks; attend to scheduled and overtime work as required; perform related duties as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent plus three years of experience in building, plumbing, or mechanical maintenance. Experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis. Valid driver’s license and good driving record may be required for certain positions.
