What you will do
As a Field Project Manager for our Fire division, you will lead complex fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects in commercial, educational, healthcare, industrial, and military facilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Setup local project offices and define project scope.
- Identify risks, establish project methodology, allocate resources, and facilitate execution.
- Manage schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer expectations.
- Present project updates to management and/or customers.
- Ensure projects are closed on time and in scope.
- Coordinate and communicate project progression from inception to completion (design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, field installation).
- Develop comprehensive project plans to meet schedules and budgets.
- Conduct Work in Progress meetings.
- Understand and follow all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications.
- Ensure AHJ requirements and departmental/SOX procedures are followed.
- Coordinate change orders and work toward margin improvement on every job.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in Fire & Life Safety, Electrical/Electronic, or Security is preferred.
- Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (preferred).
- 5 years’ installation experience in Fire, Electrical, or Security systems.
- Expectation to obtain Project Management Professional certification within two years.
- NICET LevelII must be obtained within one year.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Project). Ability to create Excel spreadsheets, reference data in other spreadsheets, and create macros is required.
- Available for frequent local travel.
Salary Range: $68, (subject to education, experience, and market data). A competitive bonus plan will be provided based on individual, group, and corporate performance.
