Director of Case Management

The Position

• The Director of Case Management provides strategic and operational leadership for all case management and social services functions, overseeing length of stay management, utilization review, and discharge planning.
• The Director reports into the Vice President of Revenue Cycle, overseeing a team 20-22 fte’s.
• This leader is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care coordination while driving efficient resource utilization, regulatory compliance, and strong interdisciplinary collaboration across the organization.
• The Director will maintain accountability for departmental operations and financial performance, managing budgets, optimizing staffing coverage across all shifts, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, relationship‑driven leader with experience in case management, care coordination, discharge planning and team leadership. They will bring strong organizational skills, clinical insight, and the ability to lead in a fast‑paced environment while driving quality outcomes and operational excellence.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
• Alabama RN License required, or must be obtained, along with BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2-4 years of progressive management experience in case management within an Acute Care hospital setting required, with a strong understanding of inpatient care coordination, utilization review, and discharge planning
• Certification in Case Management (CCM or ACM) preferred.
