Position OverviewPosition: Property Manager HUD
Location: Mobile, AL
Job : 9661
Reports to: Community Administrator
FLSA Status: Non Exempt
Program: HUD Housing
Responsibilities- Manages HUD activities as assigned in compliance with HUD regulations.
- Operates with a balanced budget.
- Manages property in compliance with all regulating agencies (fire, safety, health, HUD, etc).
- Develops and maintains effective tenant services and acts as liaison with community resources to meet tenant needs.
- Develops and maintains positive public relations.
- Performs leasing activities in compliance with HUD regulations.
- Collects and deposits rents and security deposits.
- Obtains required signatures and paperwork from residents, conducts unit inspections, and submits all required data to the corporate office in a timely manner.
- Maintains petty cash account and receipts.
- To meet program goals and objectives.
- To maintain and improve tenant services.
- To maintain compliance with regulatory and funding source requirements.
- Operate within a budget.
- Operate well‑maintained facilities appropriate to the needs of the program.
- Maintain a positive public image.
Know How: High school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, knowledge of fair housing laws and landlord/tenant rights, computerized data entry and clerical skills, ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or community members; present information to top management, public groups, or boards of directors.
Physical DemandsThe role requires occasional standing, walking, sitting, using hands and tools, climbing stairs, reaching, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentEmployees are exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
