Sales Leader I - Merchant Services

Position Overview

Lead a team of Virtual Payment Advisor sales professionals who prospect and discuss Merchant Services and Treasury Management products with businesses up to $2MM in annual revenue. Preference for candidates residing in NC, SC, GA, AL. Some travel in the territory is expected. • Manage and direct a sales team to achieve business results and customer experience goals.
• Direct the execution of strategy and oversee daily activities of team members engaged in customer and prospect management.
• Attract new customers and grow existing relationships through coaching, managing, and defining strategies and tactics.
• Develop and oversee execution of account and sales plans, ensuring risk/return management and quality for new and existing clients.
• Identify and mitigate regulatory, reputational, operational, and credit risks.
• Build and maintain a network of senior internal and external relationships to acquire new clients or expand existing ones.
• Promote the full range of PNC’s products and services to clients, leveraging reporting and sales tools to identify and convert sales opportunities.
• Develop team members, monitor progress against individual goals, and manage performance‑based issues.
• Analyze and evaluate staff and processes to keep strategy aligned with day‑to‑day activities, updating the team regularly.
• Coach team members on credit risk analysis and management, applying advanced knowledge of credit fundamentals and internal policies.

Work Experience:

• University or college degree required;
  Masters, PhD, or certifications desirable.
• Minimum 8+ years of industry experience, with at least 5 years of prior management experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certifications, and experience (including military service) may be considered.

• Bachelor’s degree (required)
