Packaging Operator

We are looking for a Packaging Operator at our Mobile Manufacturing facility as part of our Oil & Mining business segment. Sterling Specialty Chemical US’ Oil & Mining segment provides a unique combination of innovative chemicals and application knowledge that improves process efficiency and yield in oil, gas and metals recovery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Comply with plant Health, Safety and Environmental rules and policies
• Promote safety of self and coworkers
• Support Production Supervisor in accomplishing Plant and Company goals and objectives
• Filter, label, and package finished products in drums, totes, trucks and bulk containers
• Mix and sample finished goods in bulk storage tanks and returns for Q.A. approval
• Operate 5-Gal pail packaging line including unloading of empty pails, pail filling, capping, labeling, palletizing, and stretch-wrapping.
• Locate and stage materials using forklift as needed
• Keep work area and equipment clean
• Document production and consumption in SAP system accurately for inventory control
• Complete shift report to ensure adequate communication and relief
• Must be very reliable

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing facility preferred
• Shift work and flexible work hours required, including overtime for training, meetings, and plant coverage
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good math and reading comprehension skills
