Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Composite Technician I to join our team in Mobile, AL.

Ability to objectively self-inspect work, finished parts and components as required. Maintain written records and work logs in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA);
European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Transport Canada (TCAA) requirements.

Your

responsibilities
  • Ability to read and interpret common blueprint/drawings types.
  • Perform composite repairs (as directed) related to molds, wet and prepreg layup, re-work/repair of existing structures.
  • Self-inspect parts and components where applicable.
  • Use related measuring devices/tools to ensure adherence to part/documentation requirements.
  • Adhere to policies regarding accurate recording of completed work and work-in-progress.
  • Housekeeping and assistance with lifting/pushing/pulling tasks.
  • Maintain acceptable/normal levels of on-hand stock quantities.
Your qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Technical/Professional/Vocational training in the composites field (apprenticeship, institutional training, etc.)
  • Three (3) or more years of hands-on experience with aerospace or equivalent composites
  • One (1) or more years of experience in aerospace (preferred but not required)
  • Proficient in English (read, write and communicate effectively)
  • A second language is preferred but not required (French, Spanish, German)
