Mechanical Engineer - Composite FRP Tank Designer in Mobile

Seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Composite FRP Tank Designer and project manager to become part of our team! You will provide composite design for fiberglass tanks and process equipment for our production department to build fiberglass tanks, FRP pipe systems, and custom composite parts in our production facilities.

• Conduct design calculations to construct fiberglass vessels and pipe systems to code, and produce shop drawings for production.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances for tanks, scrubbers, stacks, and pipe systems per ASME and design codes.
• Estimate job costs for various projects and programs involving computer‑controlled filament winding machines.
• Review and modify designs to reduce production deficiencies.
• Provide timely updates on drawing completion, workload, and interface with customers on delivery schedules.
• Develop time‑saving production practices and procedures.

• Previous experience in mechanical engineering and composite tank design.
• Familiarity with fabrication of tank and process composite pipe systems.
• Proficiency with CAD or related software.
• Detail‑oriented and able to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Ability to provide positive leadership and mentor production staff on best practices in composite fabrication.
