Aircraft Mechanic Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Aircraft Mechanics to support component-level maintenance in a backshop environment. This role involves the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of aircraft components in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities- Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, reassemble, and test aircraft components in accordance with Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and approved technical data.
- Perform maintenance using FAA-approved data and ensure all work meets high standards of quality and workmanship.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety of flight, ensuring all components meet airworthiness standards.
- Accurately complete maintenance documentation, work orders, and inspection records in compliance with company, customer, and FAA requirements.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Utilize proper tools and calibrated equipment for each task, ensuring all tooling is in serviceable condition.
- Interpret and apply technical manuals, schematics, and engineering documentation.
- Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage, chemical handling, fall protection, and awareness of engine and propeller hazards.
- Perform basic surface preparation and painting of aircraft components, including adherence to paint application and safety procedures.
- Support additional duties as assigned by the Component Shop Lead Mechanic.
- Minimum 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience.
- Experience working in a component shop or backshop environment.
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems and component-level repair processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and maintenance documentation.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
- Experience with hydraulics, landing gear, and other aircraft components.
- Familiarity with component overhaul and repair procedures.
- A&P License is a plus, but not required.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mobile, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.
