Job Description

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Site Planner (Paint) to join our team based in Mobile, AL.

The Mobile Site Planner I will support the Mobile Site Planning Team’s mission to integrate, consolidate and advise on the Infrastructure growth and Planning of the Site in line with the A220 & A320 Ramp‑ups. The position requires proficiency in a planning tool, proactive decision‑making, and effective cross‑functional collaboration to align with business goals and mitigate risks across the production process.

Operationally supporting the planning and execution of Supply Chain responsible areas such as Heavy Handling MCA Operations and Paintshop Operational coordination.

Working Environment

On ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your Challenges Primary Responsibilities (50%)
  • Tactically plan (2‑4 week horizon) and support the day to day operations of the Heavy Handling team.
  • Work with A220 Supply Officers to plan, forecast and receive A220 deliveries to the Mobile Site.
  • Work with A320 Oversized Transport team (PIT – Functional link in Europe) to align on vessel scheduling and transport media return flows.
  • Maintain a robust workload model for the Heavy Handling team to feed resource planning monthly governance with the ability to adapt for scenario creation as required.
  • Ad‑Hoc requests to support the Heavy Handling team as required.
  • Plan material requirements at work station, 10‑day look ahead, Pull Signal for delivery to POU.
  • Interface with Mirabel/Hamburg Procurement Operations for shortage resolution via a Supply Officer.
  • Coordinate materials required for rescheduling in case of planned shortages (Contingency Plan).
  • Investigation in cases of missing parts (including physical coordinated with 3PL).
