Position: Aircraft Powerplant Mechanic with Logistics Responsibilities M/F

As a CFM Powerplant Mechanic & Logistics Specialist supporting our customer at Airbus FAL in Mobile, Alabama, your mission will be to perform maintenance operations that ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of LEAP-1A engines for the Airbus A320 family. You will also be responsible for logistics-related tasks.

Maintenance Operations
  • Upon request, carry out maintenance actions to bring LEAP-1A engines into conformity (e.g., part replacements, rework), by preparing the necessary documentation and resources, and following maintenance work instructions (Aircraft Maintenance Manual – AMM, Service Bulletin – SB, Temporary Work Instructions, etc.).
  • Perform or contribute to troubleshooting on LEAP-1A engines.
  • Conduct boroscope inspections on LEAP-1A engines.
  • Carry out work based on configuration control requests (e.g., application of Service Bulletin).
  • Record all completed work in the appropriate platforms (Airbus systems and CFM internal systems).
  • Adhere to Airbus and Safran Aircraft Engines (on behalf of CFM) Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) rules during daily activities (e.g., wearing Individual Protective Equipment – IPE, compliance with Safety Data Sheets – SDS, etc.).
  • Take an active part in innovation and deployment of improvement initiatives in a continuous improvement mindset.
Logistics Management Tasks
  • Manage the reception and shipment of parts, tools, chemical products, and related materials.
  • Register all warehouse inventory movements in the Inventory Management IT tool and conduct regular inventories.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse efficiently.
  • Proactively anticipate orders of parts, tools, and chemical products based on operational needs.
  • Ensure inventory records reflect obsolescence and updates regarding new configurations to be ordered.
  • Manage tool calibration schedules and requirements with appropriate anticipation.
Qualifications

You are a qualified aeronautical technician with at least 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician on aircraft engines, and you have acquired a strong understanding of engine architecture and functions. You have experience using technical documentation such as Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM) and Service Bulletins (SB). Experience with engine borescope inspections is appreciated. You are proficient in using IT tools.
