Production Specialist

The Production Specialist is responsible for daily operations, safety, daily maintenance, and environmental compliance of the Carbon Disulfide, Sulfur Chlorides, NaSH plants, and NaSH logistics.

• Direct supervision and routine communication with Plant Operators and Chemical Processors.
• Coordinate weekly and daily maintenance activities, issue work orders, and plan routine maintenance for the Carbon Disulfide, Sulfur Chlorides, and NaSH plants.
• Responsible for all training of Plant Operators and Chemical Processors, completing required training as planned in the ATP.
• Adjust production rates under the supervision of the superintendent to maintain targeted inventory and meet sales levels.
• Lead troubleshooting functions during major plant operational or quality problems.
• Responsible for completion of Operators/Chemical Processors time cards, scheduling, and paycheck distribution.
• Authorize all work permits and ensure the safety of personnel performing the work.
• Complete various improvement projects as planned on the AQP.
• Ensure product quality, environmental compliance, and plant safety for daily operations.
• Coordinate all NaSH loading activities to get shipments on time and work with Customer Service to ensure availability of trailers and railcars.
• Observe site for potential intruders, trespassers, or non-authorized persons; report suspicious items, persons or activities.

• High School Diploma.
• 5+ years of plant operations experience (preferably as an operator).
• Experience with SAP (great if you have).
• Experience with Kronos.

Permanent, on‑site, full‑time position reporting to the Area Superintendent, based in Axis, AL.
