Airbus is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our aviation team as a Production Support Technician. The role involves precision cleaning of aircraft components—removing metallic debris and chemical residues—while keeping the specialized tooling and production environment organized and clean.

Clean as you go: 40%

• Perform intermediate cleaning steps during drilling to prevent contamination from metal shavings, oil, and sealant.
• Scrape sealant before curing to reduce customer presentation prep time.
• Implement active cleaning techniques to capture metal shavings and oil at the point of generation.
• Dispose of scrap, wipes, and other waste immediately in designated containers.

Customer presentation preparation: 50%

• Use industrial vacuums and scrapers to remove metal shavings, dust, and particles from tight aircraft structures.
• Apply qualified solvents and cleaning agents to remove oils, greases, and excess sealant per specifications.
• Ensure all surfaces meet "white‑glove" standards per technical specifications.

5S and general cleaning of the station: 10%

• Clean returned protection before installation on the aircraft.
• Clean the floor platform and work surfaces once per shift.
• Rotate jigs and tools during downtime; report broken tools.
• Maintain tool box inventories and report issues.

• Attention to detail: spot minor defects or debris in complex assemblies.
• Technical literacy: read and follow "Qualified Product Lists" (QPL) for correct chemicals on specific alloys.
• Physical stamina: work in confined spaces for extended periods, at heights on platforms.
• Safety mindset: strict adherence to PPE and FOD prevention protocols.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1‑3 years experience with cleaning operations; preferred 2‑4 years in aviation manufacturing or repair.
• Prior experience in a LEAN environment.
• Must work in confined spaces and transition safely on work platforms and ladders.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations regarding confined space entry, respiratory protection, PPE use, fall protection, hazardous communications, and related regulations.
• Basic hand tool proficiency (screwdrivers, scrapers, wrenches, etc.).
• Keep tools and support equipment in safe operating condition.
• English: spoken and written.
• Eligible for employment in the US.

• Vision: see and use fine work tools and computer screens; navigate the workplace.
• Hearing: normal conversation and response to warnings.
• Speaking: participate in normal business conversations.
• Carrying: occasionally carry up to 20–40 lbs.
• Lifting: lift up to 40 lbs.
• Climbs or balances in production areas.
• Pushing/Pulling items on office and shop floor.
• Sitting: long periods in meetings or on computer.
• Squatting/Kneeling to retrieve items from low shelves.
• Standing for discussions in offices or production floor.
• Travel/Mobility: access workplace independently on short notice.
• Walking: through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces.
• Required PPE: safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, gloves as required.
