LIFT TRUCK OPERATOR II - D Shift 6P-6A

Operates gasoline or electric‑powered industrial trucks or tractors equipped with forklift and/or elevated platform to move materials. Duties are performed under general supervision following standard work procedures and guidelines.

• Operate drive gasoline‑ or electric‑powered trucks to transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
• Operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel‑hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
• Move pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
• Dumps, sprays, or releases materials into hoppers.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment.
• Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, cars, or lifting devices.
• Operate or tend automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines.
• Weigh materials or products and record weight and other production data as required.
• Record quality and output measures and complete any other necessary paperwork.
• Perform a pre‑shift daily inspection on the lift truck.
• Attend any job‑related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Lift Truck Certification preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on‑the‑job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• Prior experience in a warehouse or as a general laborer preferred.

• Operate in a team‑based environment.
• Basic math skills.

• May require bending, squatting, climbing, and other physical movement for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Working around moving equipment and in an industrial environment.
• Working in an environment where there may be regular exposure to chemicals, noise from machinery, dust, fumes, and variable temperatures.
