Supervisor of Cabin Engineering

Airbus Cabin Engineering Supervisor in Mobile, Alabama reports to the Manager, Cabin Engineering. The role focuses on leading an engineering team to ensure on‑time, on‑cost, and on‑quality delivery of design and certification documentation. It involves collaboration with internal stakeholders, the Final Assembly Line (FAL), transnational engineering teams, external suppliers, and subcontractors.

Our engineers work on complex, highly engineered machines and are involved at every stage of the aircraft life cycle, from product development to manufacturing and direct support to airline customers. Design, create, and test the present and future of Airbus products across the globe.

The Engineering Center in Mobile, Alabama houses hundreds of Airbus engineers who assist in the design and development of Airbus commercial aircraft cabins, including aftermarket upgrades, reconfigurations, and services for all product types worldwide.

• Accountable for the daily technical execution and timely delivery of complete, accurate design and certification deliverables.
• Ensure team adherence to the Design Organization Manual and compliance with Airbus Business Processes.
• Support and implement quality, process, and business improvement initiatives at the team level.
• Build and lead a high‑performing engineering team, focusing on development of critical technical competencies and delegation.
• Ensure safety management through policy deployment, communication, training, and risk management in line with Airbus objectives.
• Identify and lead local improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through process, methods, and improvements.

• B.S. degree in Engineering or related field.
• 15 years experience within the aviation industry.
• 5 years of Technical Leadership Experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to understand and mentor principles within assigned discipline.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical aircraft topics.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and organization skills.
• Ability to inter‑relate with and motivate diverse teams.
• Authorized to work in the US.
