US Lumber, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for a Material Handler - EWP to join our team.

Responsibilities

In this role you will focus on:

  • Safely operate forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) in order to complete assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders and transporting material.
  • Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
  • Maintain condition of warehouse work area, e.g. free of trash, product in correct location and organized, swept floors.
  • Work cooperatively and productively with supervisors and other employees in order to complete required workload.
  • Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
  • Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
  • Follow U.S. Lumber safety policies and procedures and encourage others to do the same. This includes performing daily forklift safety checklists.
  • Read and understand tickets and various codes for products.
  • Must learn how to use a chainsaw and Holtec Industrial Saw.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Accurately pull daily orders.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one (1) year of warehouse distribution experience.
  • Prior lumber experience desired. Engineered lumber experience is preferred.
  • Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred, but not required.
  • Must have basic math and analytical skills.
  • Must be computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
