Job Description:

The Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Station Manager to join our A320 final assembly line based in Mobile, AL.

The Station Manager (Operations Supervisor) is expected to direct, supervise and coordinate all operational Production activities in a defined station and/or area of responsibility. Responsible for the technical leadership along with oversight of all manufacturing activities within the purview of the Assembly Line Station and ensuring effective coordination between the multiple processes supervised. Station responsibility includes the management of all tools and jigs belonging to the Station as well as their maintenance, repair and calibration.

Position Summary:

The Station Manager is responsible for technical & people leadership along with oversight of all manufacturing activities within the purview of the Station and ensuring effective coordination between the multiple processes supervised. In this leadership role the Station Manager is responsible for the selection, performance management & development of the employees assigned to their teams.

As designated act as the deputy for the Business Unit Leader in their absence.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible as the First Line Manager, for the management of all employees assigned to the Station. Includes the selection, performance management, identification of development needs, and employee recognition.

Operational Duties: 60%
  • Provide direction and oversight to production activities and monitor the progress of the A/C through the Station
  • Function as a role model and leader in the observance of OSHA and People Safety @ Work rules and regulations. Ensure the importance and company commitment to safety is in the forefront of thought and action on the part of every employee.
