Experience:

3+ years of experience in seafood, meat, poultry, or industrial by-product processing.

1+ year of supervisory or lead experience required.

Experience with grinders, conveyors, pumps, or rendering systems preferred.

Manufacturing Supervisor
to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

Operational Leadership & Decision-Making

Direct daily by-product operations and independently determine workflow priorities based on production volume, equipment status, and staffing levels.

Evaluate yield trends and implement corrective actions to reduce loss and improve efficiency.

Make decisions regarding segregation, storage, and routing of edible vs. inedible by-products.

Coordinate with Production, FSQA, and Maintenance to resolve operational issues and prevent downtime.

Compliance, Food Safety & Regulatory Oversight

Ensure full compliance with HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and environmental regulations.

Develop and enforce procedures that prevent cross-contamination and maintain product integrity.

Lead by-product readiness during internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.

Maintain documentation required for traceability, waste disposal, and environmental compliance.

Equipment & Process Management

Oversee operation of grinders, conveyors, pumps, presses, totes, and compactors.

Independently determine equipment adjustments, sanitation needs, and downtime responses.

Partner with Maintenance to evaluate mechanical issues and authorize repairs or adjustments.

Team Leadership & Training

Supervise by-product handlers, tote runners, and sanitation support staff.

Assign daily responsibilities and adjust labor based on production demands.

Train employees on safe handling, GMPs, PPE, and equipment operation.

Provide clear bilingual communication (English/Spanish) to support a multicultural workforce.

Reporting & Cross-Functional Coordination

Prepare daily yield reports, variance analyses, and operational summaries for leadership.

Communicate issues affecting production flow, quality, or compliance.

Collaborate with Logistics and external partners (renderers, waste haulers) to schedule pickups and maintain documentation.

Position Requirements:

Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and food-safety principles.

Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and make operational decisions.

Strong communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and evaluating equipment issues.

High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Frequent walking, bending, and equipment interaction.

Ability to work in cold (35–45°F), wet production environments.
