Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for an NDT Level 2 Inspector (2nd Shift) to join our Manufacturing department based in Mobile, AL.

The breadth of exposure as an NDT Level II Inspector is immense, as the organization is responsible for a large diversity of inspection types across A220 and A320 programs. Our Engineers at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facility take our aircraft from concept to customer delivery - working with production teams on every aspect of assembly from managing technical information, quality control, maintenance tasks and health & safety - along flowlines and flight lines. On ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. • Perform a large diversity of NDT inspections (ET, UT and PT) across A220 and A320 programs.
• Interpret, evaluate, communicate, and report findings to production and engineering teams.
• Interpret and review engineering drawings as required
• Perform and/ or Support the development of NDT inspection techniques for complex geometries and confined spaces.
• Assist in training and developing others within the team.
• Conducts tests to resolve if parts meet quality specifications or specifying discontinuities.
• Ensures strict alignment to safety laws.
• Prepare the respective inspection reports, mappings and documents related to the inspection record.
• Reviews production schedule and works to facilitate meeting schedules
• Contribute to internal Quality Gates through on-time point closure
• Report/advance team blocking points throughout the shift
• Actively supply to department current KPI’s in order to drive improvements
• Is an advocate for LEAN within group; encourages LEAN thinking and supports and assists in the implementation of LEAN initiatives/KAIZENS
• Ensures all processes are followed

• An Associates' Degree in Aviation, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience utilizing testing equipment including maintenance and calibration of said equipment.
